Very nice, that looks great. Looks like your stacks are higher than four feet, maybe six feet? Great looking stacks, love the look of orderly wood stacks.

Looks nice. Pallet rack metal is good stuff for stacking wood on.

Beautiful stacks! How long will that last you, and what types of wood is it?

that is oak mostly and one stack of pecan. I still have a big hackberry, 2 big ash trees , 3 more pecans and several oaks to get down this year. Definitely won’t all fit on the rack.
It will last is the year easy once seasoned.

We do. I cut probably 80% oak. Pecan is common but harder to find to cut. Ash is more rare and always a good find. Hickory is abundant like the oak. There is the occasional locust tree I come across but not common. You could cut hackberry every day here if you wanted. I don’t care much for it but won’t turn up my nose at it. I live in the northeast corner of Oklahoma.

I have a stupid question. What are the galvinized (?) channel pieces on the outer sides of the rack for? Strapping slots or something else?
They look good and sturdy, just wondering.

It looks like they serve as shims to match the black iron because he likes flat planes to stack on and against.

Spacers essentially. The outside frame was already made and I welded the cross bars and uprights up. They make up the space to stack against the sides and keep it level.

Ah, got it. I guess I didn't look close enough to determine the difference in height.
But now, as an added bonus, you have tons of places to hook bungee cords to.
