This splitter is from Alex of A.E. Metalwerx. He is in the process of building me a new splitter with log lift and hydro 4 way wedge. This one is a prototype Bi-directional splitter with log lift.

    I feel the workmanship is excellent. DSCF0001.JPG DSCF0002.JPG DSCF0003.JPG DSCF0004.JPG DSCF0005.JPG DSCF0006.JPG DSCF0007.JPG DSCF0008.JPG DSCF0012.JPG

    It splits both directions.

Alex wanted some feedback on it as this is the 1st of this type. He is making me more of a conventional unit as it meets the needs of the type of wood I process better than this.

Looks like a good unit. What is the longest round that it will take?

Firewood Bandit does the groove where the ram slides back and forth build up with debris? It sure looks like it would!

Also, did he give you a 4-way to try out?

Looks like a well made piece!!
Hopefully you can put it through its paces and give him some good feedback
Do you split alone? Would be nice to have some more helpers to fully test out the speed ggat they're known for
