Lots of cooking prep this morning. I'll probably feel it later, but what can ya do? This laying around all day has led me to take too many naps, which in turn leads to me waking up WAY too early.....which leads to more naps. I cant win. Been up since 3:30 this morning.

We are low 40's and rain today. Changing to snow this evening. Will continue to snow tomorrow. We will have to wait till its over to see how much we get.

    Yes. It will.

We broke a record here in Wisconsin, 54° yesterday. Then the 40 mph winds with the front came through and it was 27° by midnight. Now 14°. And flurrying. It won't be a white Christmas, but close enough if any of it sticks.

Only advice I can give is refrain from vacuuming the house. That didn’t fare too well. Felt great before I did it, figured everything was healed up good.

Managed to find an old piece of board with the snowblower near the wood pile this morning. It jammed up the impeller! :hair:

I shut the auger/impeller drive down as soon as I heard it then drove it back to the garage so I didn't have to work outside in the snow/wind.

I was lucky as it was readily removed by hand and didn't need any tools! No damage; back in business. :handshake:

You did get lucky. When I was snowblowing it didnt take much to break a shear pin bolt.

Right?!!!! Last winter, I went through (literally) three shear pins! Up until that point, never in my life had that happened!

Congratulation grandpa! Life does go on. Enjoy the little one. They grow much faster than your kids did.

I gave my snow thrower to my son so he can take care of his huge deck. I wasn't using it. My other son who lives here uses the truck and plow or the atv with a plow. I am useless to do anything for snow removal. Seemed to be a good use of my machine rather than just have it sit as it has for the past 5 yrs.

I used your brine recipe this morning for the turkey breasts for tomorrow. If it doesnt come out good, I can blame "some guy from the internets"

Thanks, I've been taking it easy on most things. I cooked a bunch this morning, but that wasnt strenuous, just a lot of standing in the kitchen. When I loaded the stove this morning, it took 4 trips in from the wood bin with two splits at a time.

I'll leave the vacuuming to my wife.

I dont mind the snow and Ice melt today with the warm temps. Driveway was ice covered. I guess we have plenty of rain on the way. Hoping power stays on for us. :)

Good choice. I was bored and trying to be helpful while she was at work. She laughed her azz off when she came home and I was dying.
