K.Will say any frame under body treatment is good, except for old style undercoating(but there is newer stuff. The "wax" seems to work good for lots, not work trucks. For daily use winter trucks, companies, snow plow contractors and the government have been using "fluid film" for many years.it is generally good for one winter.Of course the under body needs cleaned, first,on regular trucks,is a matter of going through the drive through car wash. Then it is sprayed outside and inside the frame, and under body sheet metal. It is environmentally friendly, and has been used by snowplow contractors for quite some years.I began using it on the face of my plow,2 years ago,it is good. No,I do not get any money from this.

Dammmmmmm! That sucks. I have a small one for my bike and I worry every time it snows. Hopefully adding a shed/garage for next year so I can chuck this thing.

Got the truck out after the guy worked on the garage for a couple of hours shoveling all the snow out and then propping it up just enough to roll it out. Only thing holding it up now is two PT 2x4's that I had laying there, and the ton of pellets in the back left-hand corner (there is an empty pallet on top of the pellets). It will come down sometime this winter then the clean up will be in spring.

Turned the truck around for easier towing, plugged up the hole in the windshield with plastic grocery bags, then put an old Ice Screen on top (to think, I almost threw that shield away, but left it balled up in the back of the truck)

One of the biggest issues with those tailgates is you need to remember to take the ball out of the receiver on the trailer hitch otherwise it puts a large dent in the gate when it drops. There are already aftermarket warning systems on the market to help prevent it from happening.

That's the problem w/ fluid film....it pretty much washes off after a while. The wax or the bar & chain stay on for many years.

These might be the only pellets that will actually burn better covered in snow

We like the Avy....We use it as a "House car" and not a truck.......The tranny in the half ton stuff is just too flimsy.

I used to rebuild trannies for a living and the 4L60 (Used to be called 700R4) was not all that stout.

Our rig has the Aluminum 5.3 with AFM and the flexfuel......

The AFM is a joke...... I have tried hard to get the mileage above 14 and managed once to get it to 14.1 on a good long trip.

I wanted the Caddy EXT with the 6.2 and AWD but the price was just not agreeable.

So we grabbed this little Chevy.

Had 132K on the clock when we got it...about 140K now.

    Ahh well....nothing is perfect.

We looked at an earlier Avy with the 8.1 Moose motor.....it had some issues that were not gonna cut it...so passed.

Been fighting with Verizon since the 4th of the month as my cell signal here at the ranch went to crap.

From the night of the 3rd with great 3 bar LTE data and no issues to near nothing most of the time.

    Data router (Cellular) nearly worthless

Phones would not hold a call at all..

Called customer service many many times....called tech support many many times...

The response was "You need to buy" a signal booster....Hmmmmm..Never needed one over the last 15 years of great service.....

Got all the standard "Reset your router and phones" "You live in a poor signal area"

Why all of a sudden....zooooop no service.????

I never did get any answers....

One tech support individual said "You need to make sure the wire from the TOWER is connected to your house" :rofl:

    Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat ??????

Argued with these idiots until a few days ago.

Borrowed a data hotspot and little flip phone to check service with AT&T
Day before yesterday we switched over to AT&T
We are a customer already with DTV.....and have been with AT&T cellular before.

Getting all the bugs sorted out after getting stuff swapped over took a while.

BUT THINGS ARE UP AND RUNNING PRETTY GOOD NOW.

I suspect Verizon upgraded one of the towers were were getting 4G on and made it a 5G and all we were left with was the skimpy left overs from a distant tower that is poor at best.....

So AT&T is it for now.....

Customer service......NOT WHAT IT USED TO BE....CUSTOMER ABUSE...IS MORE LIKE IT.

That's just like when a bearing manufacturer moves their production to China then suddenly the bearing life drops in half. Then the reps come to see what's going on because the problem just has to be on our end. Then you switch to the only bearing manufacturer that still makes theirs in the USA and the bearing life is suddenly back to normal.

Sorry for all the run around they gave you, , but it is true, we need to update our phones to towers they use on some phones. ATT here sucks. Yes we have a home antenna on top of the chimney for Verizon.
