So back in the fall in the middle of delivery season, I posted about buying a new saw. I finally decided on what to get and went to my Husky dealer today. I was all excited to have this thing before Christmas but no way I was told. It won’t be in until mid January! I ordered it with a 24” bar for my typical cutting and a 36” for the big stuff. I was all ready to rip into some big logs over Christmas break but that will sadly have to wait. I will be counting down the days...
That stinks. Maybe all the snow will be melted and ground nice and frozen then. How many saws do you run now?
That's a big boy saw holy cow 88cc! I do have one question though - why does it come with a 36" in the screenshot yet the recommended MAX bar length is right below listed at 28"???
3. And I will be looking to sell my current big saw. I don’t need a bunch of saws laying around collecting dust. I have a big one (80cc), a not so big one (70 cc) , and a smaller one (50cc) that hardly ever gets used.
I could t figure that out from their website either. It was basically the same for many of their bigger saws. And yeah, having a small motorcycle engine attached to a fast and sharp spinning blade in your hands is fun!
I'm simply curious why you didn't buy the 395, it's only slightly more. I am sure the 390 is great, too.
I spoke with my nephew who runs saws a lot and also works on them. He said they were both great saws but he preferred the 390. 88cc is enough power for me. And believe it or not the 395 is listed $60 cheaper. It’s also 1.3 pounds heavier
Keeping the 038. Will be selling the echo. Already had someone message me. I will be running the echo until the new saw comes in. Haven’t had time to price it out yet. Thoughts?
