It was so worth it this thing throws a mile now!
72600700 that's the part number. Get the baffle too it keeps water from running down the plastic belt cover onto the friction disk causing drive slippage. I don't have the part number handy for that piece but I'm sure easy enough to find it online.

Yup,That's what I have.I get the disk slippage as well so I will order the baffle plate .It's a good machine but is plagued by gremlins.

Yup, forecast here was 2-3 inches if anything.

Got up at 5:15am day of the storm and there was maybe 4 inches at that time. Figured leave it and clean up after work as the forecast was up to 12 at that time. At 6:45am there was at least 8 inches-cut quick path with snowblower just so i wasnt dealing with too much after work.

Total here was somewhere around 30"-give or take

Worked till 2pm day of storm, home at 3pm with white out blizzard conditions most of the day to find a plow berm 4 feet wide and 2-3 feet tall

Time to see what the new Cheby buggy can do and have it earn its keep . It was in FWD Auto but threw it into FWD high to eliminate the possible bog down mid berm.

Pretty sure I heard the ZR2 chuckle as it plowed through the berm, up the driveway (hill) all the way iinto the garage

Even with the 2" lift on this truck, it was not above the snow line where I had cleared 8 inches before leaving for work.

Hey Doggy, I had the buggy undercoated with NHOU Boss Wax and Oil just a few weeks ago as rust is a real concern. Its a multi day process at this time of year as it needs stay inside overnite to be warm, applied next day and remain inside fir another day to cure so drop off Monday night and pick up wednesday afternoon.

This isnt my truck but is exactly what it now looks like underneath-EVERYTHING is coated with the wax/oil protection as well as oil treatment inside door panels and inside every opening/crossmember etc underneath. Will need updates every 2 years for oil application and to touch up any wax areas that need it.

Hope it works, Co worker did their Sierra 2 years and highly recommended it.

smoke show , have you worked on any vehicles with this sort of undercoating? I mean everything is coated but as its wax based and pliable it shouldnt be an issue like harder undercoats. I have seen issues with things like Ziebart.

I have not. Doesn't seemed to matter much around here they're pretty much vaporized by 15 years. There's a lot of marketing in umdercoating, and it's only as good as the bloke thats applying it.

I subscribe to a guy up in NH (mustie1) on YouTube, and he's tried a bunch of different products to stop rust.
Seems the best one he's used is bar & chain oil shot through an undercoating gun, then drive down a dry, dusty road. This video is was when he was using a regular spray gun, so both guns will work. I think he even melted wax from a toilet seal into it one time, but seems to be happy with just the bar & chain w/ light dust coating.

    Late Sept.

Honda was acting up with tranny shifting and torque converter chattering. Engine seemed to run OK but being 12 years old I kept my eye open for about 6 months for a deal.

Never thought I'd be buying a ZR2 but being a 2020 Chevy had some sweet rebates. Dealer added in 2K more but came in way too low on the trade allowance. I turned down their offer and said I would wait on some 2021 deals for Z71 as I really dont need the ZR2 package. Funny, when its Saterday evening and 10 minutes past closing they change their minds real fast and upped thier offer from $1,000 to $4,500 trade for my 12 year old with almost 300K on it.

    I got this 2020 ZR2 for about 12K under sticker and thousands less than a 2021 Z71.

Used trucks are not worth the money around here-hel l mid size trucks in general are over priced but we already have the Sierra and I want something that fits in the garage. You have to wait it out and beat the bushes to find a deal.
