Check this out, found this local ad. How do you think this seller does this, do you think it's with an expensive machine or lower cost or po-boy method?

On a side note, I see that he does crib cross cross stack method; that makes his stacks hold less wood.

Not really sure but nice to see him use this vs. plastic wrap. I can't tell you how many folks I see around here wrap wood they sell in plastic. That wood has been sitting outside and just filled with moisture.

Id say Po boy, couple trips around and staple/nail it. The cribbing does lessen the amount of wood but good for drying. Hope he is not selling that as "seasoned" as it looks like fresh split.

I've seen that fancy machine (online) above, it's amazing. There is no way this seller has that, I was just wondering if someone knew of a cheaper way of doing it. I guess you could just, literally, walk around the stack.

Probably what he does. I sell bundles and have a simple jig to assemble them in. Hardest part is rolling out and rerolling the stretch wrap to precut it. Its no feasible to use the whole roll as is too big and clumsy.

Maybe we can sneak into jrider's field and process some. You he'd notice if a few logs went missing? Wonder how much that thing produces in an 8 hour day?
