Drolet and MFP are the same.

2 years ago we bought an HT-2000 and I had a bunch of questions beforehand. Called the Drolet #, talked to a person (don't recall the name) and got most of what I needed. Called the MFP # to compare notes, same dood answered and spilled the beans. They use both sites to get increased traffic, but the prices do vary to make it look like it's not the same company. Got the "last years model" for stupid cheap off of MFP, was full price on Drolet's site.

Ok I just got off the phone with Drolet customer service. I mentioned my fireplace products. The guy said that is the best place to buy. Then you can go to the drolet website and claim your blower through them. The guy had a very thick French accent so I repeated myself a couple times. He said yes buy at mfp then claim the blower at drolet.ca
Might be worth looking into Sinngetreu

Nothing but good things to say about their customer services. When doing my homework before selecting my Drolet I contacted them a few times with questions and they've always gotten back to me and answered them. Hec I had a guy call my work phone from Canada to help answer a question. I also have had two baffles crack and both replaced at no cost.

I got all but 69$ dollars back from the summers eve debacle, earlier this fall the CFO gave the ok to buy an ideal steel. With the warping issues and having to replace the cat every couple years I kinda got turned off. Really I did want to support a NH company.

CFO will be happy to hear I’m looking at a stove half the price. We have both said that the other stove seemed to need way less loading while the door glass was still intact. Looks like I’ll be getting a new toy right around xmas. Much better than the socks, underwear and playdough art I usually get! I’m kinda pumped.

Any ideas or explanation and to why the baffles cracked?

Generally its from bumping them around while loading (not usually that hard to avoid) but who knows, maybe they break from thermal shock sometimes?

Yeah I get that I was curious what drolet had to say about it. Side note don’t pronounce drolet like toilet to a a Frenchman they will laugh at you.

I'll look into it more if my order falls through. I'm wondering why their website hasn't been copyrighted since 2017 though. Not saying anything bad, just made me wonder about it when my order didn't go through.

I couldn't agree more, I am super pumped about mine. It will be a night and day difference between what we have now. I may be able to feel my feet this year! LOL

You haven't missed it. I have been not admitting to it for years out of shear embarrassment.
I can admit it now though. I had some job "stuff" a few years back and as a bandaid to avoid losing the house we started heating with wood and could only afford a US stove box stove. It was pathetic compared to others here, but it got us through.

I just looked back and see you ordered from efireplace, if I understood the guy correctly it doesn’t matter where you purchase the stove you can still get the blower. I would defiantly call and ask the worst they can say is no.

Don’t be embarrassed! I know many people that have used variations of that stove to heat their homes.

“Do the best you can do until you can do better” is something I heard here for the first time

Yeah, you do what you gotta do sometimes. In some ways it was a nice stove to learn on. The controls sucked, but I learned a lot about the draft in my house and how to control it to get the max heat.

I'll admit I used a wonderwood cabinet tin box I found in the woods with bullet holes in it to heat my house one winter,Funds were real low.
