Are you sure you don’t gave PsA? It does sound like you have all the symptoms, especially by which joints are affected.

I have Diffuse Systemic Scleroderma. Extensive testing, 15-20 vials at a time for bloodwork over several months. Then again a few years later for permission to try to concieve and while carrying. YA!!! I beat the odds, <5% conceiving, AND <5% carrying full term. Thus, my wonderful miracle kiddo. Mine (sounds like psoriatic too along with all others) are sister to the less common autoimmunes. Only had one screaming positive blood test, SCL-70. Also Anti-CCP positive (RA factor is not reliable), but that thankfully it's mostly inflammatory and not much damage from RA. I will never get the image out of my head reading the blood test results going down the lines reading several pages and all were Low/Normal and then the only High. (the antibody tests they send out that take 2 weeks, you know the ones).

I cannot recall the letters used to test for PsA but I'm sure my rheumy did antibody tests on that too, along with all the other common autoimmunes and also the rare ones (thus sclero...)

From what I understand they all have a different combination of overlapping symptoms, but all use the same immune suppressants available. I'm sorry Psoriatic is sausage fingers too Al. The fatigue is was ruined my life, I do what I can and try not get caught up in the vicious circle of beating myself up for not being able to do what I did for so long. The biggest one, working. I loved what I did and I was good at it.

If you haven't seen the series "abandoned" on VICE network, you should. I think you'd really enjoy that show. I know my wife and I loved that show.
BTW, you've got a great talent with your words.

Wow, that’s a lot of stuff to deal with. Hope they come up with a working treatment down the road.

I don’t get the full blown sausage digits, but I can feel the inflammation. It can come on in a minute. They don’t have a test for PsA except for a gene test that tells you you might be prone to it. It’s diagnosed by symptoms mostly. The common theme is being slightly anemic, which also doesn’t help with the fatigue. Can’t take iron or something else gets screwed up. The fatigue is probably the worst part. Can’t do much of anything most days. Rheumy says that is the hardest thing to treat with the biologicals. Usually it’s the last thing to respond. Eight years and still waiting. Bloodwork every three months and the only concern is my CPK rate. They thought I had a heart attack the first time they checked. It keeps slowly going up so they only monitor it for now. Yeah, it’s a barrel of monkeys dealing with autoimmune disease. We just keep doing the best we can. Hang in there.

Don't forget we will need pics, lots of them - here is the pet thread

Sorry if you already know that. I can't remember if you put up pictures of the Toe Grabber there or just in this one.

I have that with aspirin and Tylenol. Ibuprofen is the only thing I can tolerate. Thank goodness I no longer get migraines (KOW).

Yeah, that porch roof is pretty flat. I have a Hip type roof that is pretty shallow (I'm thinking less pitch than the one pictured, but at the best it is no more of a pitch). I put the standing seam on there after only 1 winter because I was roof raking all 4 sides after every storm.

It usually dumps fine. Only once did I have to open up the doors to the attic to let warm air up there - and that was just because we were supposed to get major rains and I wanted it to dump before the rain hit.

BUT, my house gets good sun and the metal is a dark green so warms up pretty well when it isn't in the single digits and lower.

A guy has stopped by my house 3 days in a row asking to purchase some of my treasure, so I guess I’ll let go of a pickup load today. He pointed to some dead ash that I recently split, but it’s probably not ready and it will be my next winter wood. He’ll have to settle for red oak.

It will take a while longer I used to walk to the mail box and back shanks mare that is 2/10 of a mile. I haven't done that since the idiot Dr. upped my blood pressure meds. All three meds have been reduced.

    "Uncle Sam"

"Uncle Sam, you called for me, and I promptly answered thee,
You said I had to go away to fight so we can all stay wild and free.
So I packed a few bags, put on a suit, and left my family,
And I hopped aboard a big jet plane and I shipped out overseas.

    I was traumatized, brutalized,
Held my comrades' hands as half them died,
They were brothers, daughters, fathers, wives,
I was mentally and physically scarred for life.

For a second I thought my own doomsday had come,
But I got patched up, got discharged, I got sent home.
I limp my way, but I escaped a wheelchair,
But the crazy thing is I miss being over there.

I have no job, no fixed abode,
I've little more than a fraying suit of clothes,
I'm lucky if I can scrape together a meal a day,
From the rusty dumpster down the alleyway.

And they stare at me like I have no business showing the daylight my face,
I guess my only shower is the rain, so I don't look the best these days.
I'm just the dirty vagrant who sleeps on the public bench by the garbage bin,
Never thought I'd miss the battlefield trench, but at least it blocked the wind.

Uncle Sam, I risked my life for you,
And all your other nieces and nephews,
And now I've nothing left to lose,
Just old overalls and worn out shoes.
They take their freedom for granted, and they look down their nose at me,
And if you called for them, they'd probably all just turn tail and flee.

I don't have it in me to ask a stranger for anything they can spare,
But if anyone had even less than me, I'd be quite happy to share.
I don't want a lot of money, I don't need no jewels of gold.
I'd take a jail cell with sincere thanks, I'm alone, I'm wet, I'm cold."
