Just heard Wednesday on the radio that cats and dogs don't watch TV.
I guess our cat didn't get that memo.

I'v e had both cats and dogs that have watched TV.
They don't seem to buy much on QVC though.
People continue to talk out of their azzes. Doesn't matter the media.
Same know-nothings that preach pine burns down houses.

One of my cats was watching Planets Funniest Animals with me the other day. She was all in while watching the cats and dogs. Once they went to other animals, she wasn't interested any more.

The night before last both of the younger cats got interested in watching something. Rainey was laying on my lap and Spot was licking herself on the coffee table (back to the TV) at the time. For some reason Rainey lazered onto the TV and a few seconds later Spot did the same thing. Stayed that way for a while, then went back to what they were doing. Oh yeah, that was a dog show that I stopped to watch the mini-breeds as I was clicking thru channels. They watched that entire segment (sans commercials). Once they started on larger canines, the cats became disinterested. And no, there wasn't a bunch of barking or anything, so that isn't what got their attention.

Shadow lays beside campinspecter and every once in a while will sit up and bark at animals on the TV. Cricket doesn't seem to be as interested. Subaru had a commercial with lots of dogs in it a couple of years ago. Her ears would perk up when the music for the ad started and then she would bark as the dogs appeared.

My old Labs loved TV. Bear liked big Cat Diaries BUT not bobcats in real life o_O

Sydney Sue got excited and barked at horses on TV made watching old westerns difficult :picard:

Truth! The last dog we lost (old age, many afflictions) in August LOVED Meerkat Manor. Second dog (1987) was a sight dog, eyes always in the sky. New pup is all of the above, watches the TV, is a sight dog (sky, birds) and also the pellet stove, all of them !! (except our wood stove does not have glass, so not that one). Also most of my dogs over the years get on high alert when a movie is playing scary music for a bad scene. Yep.
