I thought this was interesting. A Locust is putting on new growth in November.

 

Just remember this is 2020, Nothing surprises me this year. Nothings seems normal.

 

You and I are very much alike. I am 73, 2 boys 50 and 47 and oldest grandchild is 23. It is fun when I can get them to give me a hand with firewood.

 

I love having the grandkids around. Didn't get to see much of them this year. They don't want to give me the virus. I am used to getting hugs from all of them. So hard to "play the game" at times.

 

Haven't seen much of them this year either.

 

I got a LOT of little stuff done outside today. It all needed to be done and we had slightly warmer temperatures for it. High of 46. Cool breeze for some of it though. My feets got cold in my old running sneakers! So it’s time to warm them up...

This finally showed up on Wednesday and got around to using it yesterday. It’s amazing how a simple tool can drastically change a routine. Rolling and carrying rounds to the splitter was a lot easier. I chose this one because it had a 16” handle and it was the least expensive short handle pickaroon. $10 more to get a 15” handle with a Husqvarna brand on it.

My mother-in-law is losing her mental faculties. And our youngest just witnessed it and is very upset. Ugh.

 

Sorry about that. It is a very sad thing to see.

 

My FIL went out that way, not the way to go.

 

That's tough to watch and experience.

 

That is a horrible thing for all concerned. FIL had it.

 

Thank you all for your concern. Just about the time we lost my father-in-law, a couple months ago now, I guess. Mother-in-law was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer. My wife and the Doctors and Nurses have, and are doing everything they can. But not much can be done at this point. The last blood test showed she can’t handle anymore Chemo. So they will not pursue that anymore. She has not been able to eat much in the last month so the lack of nutrition and the cancer have, and continue to take their toll. Feel helpless in these times. All I can do is be here for comfort and say I’m sorry to them all.

Late yesterday afternoon I went for a ride on the wheeler just before dark. Going slow through a section of deciduous trees I spotted something on a leaner. There it was, sleeping, I think when I first got there. It finally decided to look at me when I stopped and turned the wheeler off.....
