I’ve been busy remodeling the kitchen and living room, all new windows, doors, floor and cabinets. It took 6 weeks to get the sliding door but the floor came in 3 days!

Thank you! It’s been a lot of fun. My wife and I work well together. I have a friend who’s a contractor and I’ve got some great deals on supplies and he helped me put in the big windows and the sliding door.

PA Rifle season opener. Rain, sleet and wind this morning. Two deer, ten turkeys a grouse and now some coffee and snacks. It’s been almost ten years since I’ve had the chance to get to camp for this!

On the subject of materials....
If you ever buy a fiberglass tub surround and bring it home in your truck...... make sure to strap it down properly! They don’t survive cartwheels on pavement at 50 mph...

Had a walk in shower put in this last summer I have to transfer from my wheel chair to a bath chair. Loads of fun. Be glad when I can just "walk" in, even if it means using my walker.

Santa Claus Is Comin' to Town

Yesterday I went for a walk with my wife through her favorite park to walk in. 3 laps is 4 miles. The city is turning the paved walkway in this park into a drive through Christmas light show and most of the setup is done already. This hasn't ever been done here.

 

The Boss and I watched that as well.

I also watched a Howdy Doddy Christmas show on Pluto TV.

La Crosse decorates Riverside Park with over a million lights. You can drive thru or walk thru. It is used as a fundraiser for local food banks. I think the Rotary is the group that puts it on.

 

My BIL hauled in 8 triaxle loads today. This load had longer pieces....about 50% is ready for the splitter when it dumps. 50% oak, 45% hickory and 5% cherry.

I added 3 cord to my stacks in about 4 hours. Working on everyone else's pile tomorrow.

Very nice! Are they pretty much cut to a similar size? Any shortening of the pieces needed?
