Good afternoon all. Chaz did some grocery shopping and stopped and rented a pump for the ditch.
Started thawing the turkey for Thursday. Looking forward to homemade stuffing and gravy.
    Have a great day all.
    Stay safe and stay healthy.

Once my wife had the tree up after Halloween. Your tree looks nice.

Good Morning everyone, hope y’all have a safe and Happy Thanksgiving. My two sons are coming home from University and Marines and I will be driving a few hours south today to see my parents.

Thanks.. we went to the 4ft tree on a 4ft table, a few years a go. Much easier to deal with.

    Good morning folks.

I think I'll deal with the rest of my swamp wood this morning. I'll find a place for it.

I'll also top off my deck rack, while in wooding mode.

Mrs Mikeinma will be making an apple and pecan pie. Good house smells ahead.

    Stay safe
    Stay healthy

Good morning everyone! I've been making turkey soup to give to my family members, since we won't all sit down together. It takes a few days. Roast some turkey backs (99¢ a pound), simmer them w. veggies for a day, pick off the meat, refrigerate the broth overnight to solidify the fat, cook the grain ( wheat berries this year instead of barley) in some of the defatted broth, and saute some more veggies (onions, carrots, celery, and shiitake mushrooms). Then put the meat, veggies, cooked grain, and defatted stock in a big pot, and simmer until the veggies are soft. This year a generous amount of Maina's garlic went into the mix. Other seasonings are bay leaves, celery salt, and Bell's.
Sorry if this soup recipe is too obvious!
More 60ish temps coming Friday and Saturday! 8XEM4Q7.jpg Couple of these got nixed yesterday on the FPT, who knows if this one will make it.
    Have a great Wednesday!

Sounds like a good soup!! I'll have to look for chicken backs. I usually will get a rotisserie chicken, remove meat, and boil the carcass for a few hours for stock.

Using a micro plane, laying it right across the top of the soup pot, I like to put in an amount of ginger root. I keep it in my freezer. Just another layer of flavor and ginger keeps it healthy.

Good morning y'all. Hope y'all have a WONDERFUL WEDNESDAY. I'm finally off for 2 days...woo hoo...
Got to cover a few faucets up in the yard, supposed to get cold next week, then we are going to Lowe's to get a GFCI receptacle and weatherproof cover. Mounted a box on the big shed so we can plug in lights or fans without having tool shed doors open.

Morning All. I had a frustrating afternoon yesterday trying to get a dual band range extender working. Tech and I spent 4 hours on it. I think it is my internet server problem.
Raining this morning but it is suppose to clear up so we can go get firewood. I have a few things to do before we go out. Just a waiting game on the weather.
    Everyone have a great day.

Everybody who is driving for the holidays, please drive carefully.
    Happy Thanksgiving.

You should have had a mini-GTG to get the well back up and running! The boys and girls here would have figured that out on a Saturday!! Lol

I feel bad for Chaz...I find myself in the position of working on things myself that is really a 2 or 3 man job.

Happy Turkey Day, hope you are feeling better.
