    How did your chain hold up cutting that Shag? Always dull up quickly IMO.

    There is one tree that was damaged during the logging process. I’ll take that down if it doesn’t survive. Honestly I haven’t gone over the land with a fine tooth comb, so there could be more shag. There is definite some pignut hickory, red and white oak, chestnut oak, ash, cherry, beech, black birch and ironwood. Oh sass and bass too.

    Hey JCMC, I always heard that, but it wasn’t my experience with this tree. This type of cutting is tough on chains because the loggers used the loader to push the unwanted tops out of the way. So your left with a pile of criss-crossed poles that need to be cut as they lay.
