I have some inlaws like the ones being discussed here. They all think that I am a jerk. That is because I am to them. Keeps them away. But I do have some inlaws that have had a tough time and some of those I have helped out. I just do not believe in rewarding bad behavior no matter who it is.

But, but, but, they just need a break .

Dont get me started. I work with a guy who is nice but lazy. If somethings wrong, its good enough, wont fix it, or sees something that needs done, wont do it, unless told. Hes in his mid 40s and cant hear for anything. We work with the public in the service industry. I tell him he needs hearing aides. I get tired of saying things 5 or 6 times and him trying to read peoples lips. ( good luck now with masks). He says hearing aides are too expensive. I know they are but I knoe they have payment programs or get a loan. When I see him bringing $5 coffee to work morning and he buys lunch everyday and never brings left overs because he eats supper out every night. I get a little pizzed. Its about priorities. Last year he sold his nfl season tickets and psl. I asked why didnt you use some of that money to help hear? He just looked at me. I dont think he heard me. :deadhorse:

How about the other side of the coin. People you know who make a decent living and have jack squat, or always crying poor mouth.

Poor money management is the American way isn’t it? :lol:Then whine because you don’t have enough to retire. Life skills need to be prioritized in school. Maybe we could turn a few around at least. Education is key, not doing the same as everyone else around you growing up and expecting a different result. You have to make a conscious decision to break the mold.

I think we were the “deplorables” that are often spoken about .

I think anybody that knows their way around a chainsaw (or about any tool for that matter) would be considered a "deplorable"
