Morning all. Got power back at 6:00 PM last night. This morning, in the middle of doing the Birthday wishes, the power went off again for about 5 min. There are still communities without power up here so it is going to be a slow process getting everyone back on.

Making a trip down island for car appointment. Hopefully we won't get too sidetrack by counting all the downed trees along the way.

I'll be off to my BIL's this morning to bring back some of the swamp/red maple I stacked there several weeks ago.

It's supposed to get up to the low 60's today, so windows will, be open. I'll probably let the wood stove go out. To give it a good cleaning. Then build a fire to be lit at some point later today or tomorrow morning.

Morning all. Pouring rain outside. Had a good trip yesterday. Road was clear of downed trees but there were lots piled by the side of the road. Most of it too dangerous to get. There is one pine that campinspecter may try to get later.
Chores today and lunch out with a friend. I have the quilt frame set up in the living room and I had forgotten how much room it takes up. We see how long it stays there. Probably will have to take it down for the Christmas tree.

Good morning. It was a very busy week at work trying to catch up with everything after a week off.

My wife has switched to distance learning and will be teaching her 1st grade classroom at home starting Monday. We had a lot of her supplies to bring home from school and get into the home yesterday.

Hoping to get some final yard work done today and relax. We are going to be in the low 40s with sun and no wind today.

Good morning everyone! Busy day today. Our friends, who I've offered wood to for about a year now, are finally coming to pick some up. They only burn wet oak. I think I'll send them home with some white birch to use for kindling.
Later, my brother and SIL are coming up from MA for a low-key substitute Thanksgiving. I made some turkey soup.
Way more visiting than I've had for months. Plus, my usual grandson visit tomorrow. See you on the flip side, have a good day!

 

Good morning y'all. Hope y'all have a SUPER SATURDAY. Back on nites again, after a couple days off. Probably going to sort out some more hickory logs, get the limb wood cut and out of the way, then move splitter over to the big shed so we can process the bigger logs.
