Glad you have a easy close score to haul. You can keep restocking the stacks.

I'm gonna have to halve these before they get home, or my wife will steal them! They arent as high priced as at first though, down to $10 a round now.

Sounds like a relaxing couple of days. Is fresh cane syrup light or dark, or somewhere in between?

I'll get the rounds home and under the pine tree. With any luck, they will have a crane, and I can ask to have the logs lifted to the front of the house, where there is an extra concrete pad for parking.

Morning all. Extension cords running everywhere but we have our internet up and running, freezer plugged in and the house heat on. Hopefully sometime this morning our power will come back on. It sure is dark outside with street lights or community lights all off.

    Everyone have a great day.

It's usually on the darker side. It doesn't come in grades like maple, not as dark as molasses, it's pulled from the fire before it gets that thick.

Sounds like Karo syrup. I used to sneak spoonfuls when I was little.

Good morning everyone! Yesterday I split the larger oak rounds, and today I'll split the rest of it. All in all it's about a third of a cord. I'm always amazed how a big tree turns into a small stack!
Cleaning must be tackled as well. My brother and wife are coming on Saturday. Looking forward to a 60° day.

Good morning y'all. Hope y'all have a TREMENDOUS THURSDAY. Got to get some :coffee: &:flipeggs: going. We are headed to Toccoa, GA to visit a friend that turned a couple bowls for us from some spalted maple and pecan logs he got from us a couple years ago. Then we are going to visit my brother and his wife, he lives in the area too. Taking a break from the woodyard today. It a nice 30° this morning.
    Remember the GOLDEN RULE.
    GOD LOVES YOU AND ME
