Good morning everyone! Chilly this AM, but the witch hazel doesn't care. Probably I'll start splitting my new oak today. And move some wood in, like Mike! Oh, and watching the dump. No doubt some windfall will be showing up! Have a great day!
Good morning y'all. Hope y'all have a TERRIFIC TUESDAY. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel, 1 more night and I will be off for TWO days...whoa... This makes 9 12 hrs days (3 day, 6 nights) straight working. But glad I was able to do it. We got set up yesterday morning and cut a bunch of starter blocks and kindling. Got to finish stacking/storing it this morning. It was 34° here this morning We use the thick pieces under the stack when starting a fire, gives great air flow
Morning all. Atmospheric river pouring down on us this morning with wild wind with it. Not leaving the house for anything if possible until it lightens up. Awwww, the perks of being retired. Great weather yesterday as Mom and I hunched over the computer doing bookkeeping. Chazsbetterhalf good to hear that you will be home soon and they found a solution. Everyone have a great day.
Glad your seeing the end of the tunnel Jeff. Good hunting Molly. They got my ultrasound done along with my Echo gram. Hope the docs read those soon and write my discharge orders soon. Have a great day all. Stay safe and stay healthy.
Great your test are done! It's hard waiting to be discharged. It never seems to happen until 5P or so. Unless they need the bed, of course.
Good morning, folks. Yesterday's doctor trip to Worcester went without issue. Mid-20's here this morning. I think it'll be perfect to split up some large red oak rounds. Put on some tunes, enjoy the refreshing air, and get some swings in. I made some chicken soup a couple of weeks ago, and froze some of it. I took it from the freezer yesterday. It'll make for a good lunch today. Stay safe Stay healthy .
Good morning everyone! I'm with Mike, good oak splitting weather. I got my oak debarked and moved to the backyard yesterday, so today I'm ready to have at it. The friend I got this oak from is scared of rotten trees now, she's going to pay $3200 to have five oaks, a maple, and a bunch of little pines taken down. She offered the oaks and maple to me! I don't know when they're coming down, hopefully before snow. Mark will get some of this wood, too. Have a good one!
I'm planning to. Going to cut a few more limbs this morning, got a funeral to attend @ 2pm, then going for a drive to pick up some fresh made cane syrup. Tomorrow we're planning to go to N GA, visit a friend that bought some spalted maple and pecan logs from us a couple years ago. He turned us a couple bowls and will visit my brother while we are up there, he lives in the same area.
Nice! Sounds like it'll be time to set up a chair and watch the felling. I try to learn what (not) to do, when opportunities like that show up. Will you be adopting the buZZsaw BRAD practice of storing firewood at a remote location? Mwalsh9152 is sure to find more high-priced sitting rounds, when the trees get dropped.
