Someone posted on a local town Facebook page about getting too much creosote in their wood stove. I read more comments about not burning pine indoors than expected but this one really solidifies just how deadly burning pine can be! Lol

Time to advertise your expertise as a pine removal specialist. Charge them $200 a cord for your fast, safe, and worry free service of relieving them of the dangers lurking in their stacks :)

The Forest Gump quote comes to mind.

Stupid is as stupid does. The way the guy writes just makes me cringe. What an uninformed tool.

Oh crap, I guess I just went from the three year plan to the 1.5 year plan. What am I going to do with all this dangerous pine?!

Perhaps I'll burn it to get rid of the evidence ...

The best one was from a buddy of mine who said "softwoods create creosote". No shizz sherlock - ALL wood creates creosote, even hardwoods. Then I sent him a link that showed softwoods actually create LESS creosote than hardwoods because they burn so hot so fast........

It's the WET wood that will create way more unwanted creosote than DRY wood, I tried explaining......Tried to tell him as long as the wood (whatever it is) has a MC under 20% (and the lower the better of course) you will be good in the creosote department along with yearly (or depending on how much you burn biyearly) cleanings......but of course, to no avail.

Someone recently told me you can't reason with unreasonable people. Reminds me of that other saying - you can't fix stupid.

Wow just exactly do they think us people out west do. Freeze to death because we cannot burn pine. Oh well back when I was 13 years old I thought the same thing.
