Are you aware of the USPS Regional Facility that is located in SAN JUAN PR and that it is a DISTRIBUTION CENTER ? I just shipped out some items from here in oregon, the other day, it was just over a pound, so, it could have cost me almost 14 dollars. It wasn't worth that type of shipping to me, or the guy i was giving them too. So i went with the next shipping at 7 dollars and change, almost 8 dollars. They said it would arrive at his location Va. Today friday the 13th, should have known, lol. The clerk had me put it in a red/white/blue postal paper type envelope, and he resealed the opening as well. So today i get a notice that it WILL NOT ARRIVE ON TIME this date. Its not a big deal, but, i guess i had the option of spending another 5 bucks to get it there on time. Maybe?? And, the notification stated that it is still in transit. Glad it wasn't anything either of us actually put a price on. I gave the items to him and paid the shipping as well, not a big deal. Was just wondering if anyone had heard of the San Juan PR USPS facility?? My buddy, a former letter carrier of 25 yrs had never heard of it and was surprised when i told him.
I wasn’t aware B.Brown. I wouldn’t be surprised though Is there connection to its existence and the shipping story. I missed a tie between the two. Did your part get routed through PR between Oregon and VA?
We have a main distribution center 20 miles from me, and sometime, I will watch the tracking on it and sometimes it takes longer for that package to get through that distribution center and travel the remaining 20 miles to the local post office then it takes to come either from the west coast or the east coast. It's ridiculous.
Yes it did, and as of right now, having checked the numbers again, it does not show its been delivered. And the USPS postal site is or was down earlier.
here's the latest USPS tracking response ''Your package will arrive later than expected, but is still on its way. It is currently in transit to the next facility.''
I wasn't aware of the PR facility, but I know anything sent usps is taking a lot longer than typically right now.
I am still waiting for a letter that was send to me three years ago. I have a feeling it isn't going to arrive. Seriously, the amount of mail that is stolen is ridiculous. They caught one woman; had a great paying job a the usps but she like stilling gift cards from holiday mailings.
Update: My ''package'' for my friend, just arrived in Roenoak Va today, from the San Juan Pa postal site, guessing it will be delivered tomorrow.
