My wife and I saw that bottom right buck the last Saturday in October early evening about 1.5 miles from where he was put on the ground. He was chasing a doe and fighting off two scrub bucks at the same time. Multi tasking he was!
Funny but I believe as well as my friends that hunt, that it hasn't even started here yet. Everything is late this season.
It is full rut here. There are bucks chasing does everywhere. We are as far south in Wisconsin as you can get.
Finally got Timber her first bird last month. I haven't made hunting a priority with her but she's happy to go for a walk in the woods. She was excited but didn't quite know what to do.
Been really busy this fall but made time to hunt . Bow season started Oct. 5 here in Mass. Got a small doe to start the freezer out on the 6th. Then a nice 152# doe the fallowing week and a seven point buck a week later. Also added a turkey to the list in there some where.
They stock pheasants on some public land out by Findley State Park...And my neighbor raises pigeons if you want to come over for some practice!!
No pictures but the last day of be season and first day of gun season, folks are killing big ones. Rut has come in right
Went out this morning with a mind to shoot any big bodied buck I could to donate to Hoosiers feeding the hungry, and a big bodied buck I got. Luckily the hunters on the neighbors property showed up to say hi right at "get him in the truck" time, no way I could have done it by myself. Got a picture of him through the scope before hand, wierd habit of mine.
The stillness of the Arkansas woods was interrupted by the thunder of the 350 legend this morning. 40-50 yards broadside hammered the front right shoulder with a Winchester 150 grain XP. Recovered the bullet in offside shoulder just under the hide.
