Proud dad moment this morning!!! Asked my 2 year old if he wanted to help me bring some wood in for the stove. He said yep and went out with me.

Helped load "his size" splits of the left over Lodge pole... Love seeing it and made me feel grateful!

Mac and his splits!! Some good gloves in the near future for my boy. 20201111_102922.jpg 20201111_103022.jpg 20201111_103046.jpg 20201111_103045.jpg 20201111_103040.jpg

He looks like a happy little guy! That wood is pretty stringy, what is it?

The small splits he's carrying is Lodgepole pine and the larger stringy splits are Cottonwood that was left over from 3 years ago... Its a PAIN to split even dry, its so stringy...

Wait till he starts making the fire all on his own. It’s awesome!

I think Santa needs to drop a ms170 down the chimney for that little guy. Won’t be long.

I got a 2 year old grandson that I’m about to get started with firewood “work”. His 10 year old sister is my best and only wood helper. She was running the lever on the splitter and helping load branches at 5. Memories in the making

I absolutely freaking loved this post. I have a 17 month old. He’s not quite there yet. But he’s starting to bring me leaves, sticks and... occasional deer poop that he finds on the ground. He’s starting to be helpful:emb: I can’t wait until he’s helping me split, stack and haul wood for mom ;)
