    The coupler certainly locks onto the ball. Check on the registration/inspection requirements and fees. Around here the price goes up after 10K. As I said before, rub rails are very handy but not entirely necessary.

    Sounds like your talking about a pintle hitch. The top comes down and gets locked into place with a pin.

    this is my trailer currently. The ones I looked at this morning doesn’t this style.

    The silver colored pin on the chain locks the coupler open or closed.

    its down south side of town. They aren’t open on the weekends. I still might. They are about a spare tire difference. :D...

    That's actually not legal in Pa...according to the law. If you were to side swipe something, you can tear all the straps off your load.

    Well, times running down... I'm hoping to pick up on Thursday.... my new trailer... Trip to the east will be Wednesday/Thursday of the following week...Got the breaks done on the kids truck...To find out that the caliper needs replaced on the drivers side. Going to do that on Saturday... Then it will be loading it and heading east. I wont be using my truck... My buddy will be running his 1 ton Chevy Diesel out east for me... Hoping to tag team the driving and get it done in one shot... So looking forward to seeing him.... Ought to be a good time out there....
