It’s been a while since I last updated this thread. I am around 165-170 cords delivered so far (haven’t tallied this weekend completely yet) and have enough on order that I’m not sure I can take any more orders...for oak at least. It’s been great this year with every weekend being dry since I started delivering 7 weeks ago. Some light rain moved in around lunch time today but I still managed to get 9.5 cords out today. I’ve recently been getting more people ordering wood and wanting it right away. They don’t like hearing I’m 2-3 weeks out on deliveries. Oh well, reach out earlier next year. The field was starting to look a little bare but my tree guy just keeps bringing the logs in so it’s filling up with work already. Not that I’m complaining, but it is nice to see the field empty once a year!

People are ignorant at times. When I drove an oil truck it was the same way. I need oil TODAY, I’m gonna run out. They’d pay an extra $60 for a same day, but order the minimum amount of gallons, 50. They didn’t care. Half the time you’d have to prime their furnace. Next time you went to that house 2-3 weeks later, same exact thing. :loco:  Just what I wanted to do with 50 other stops in 5 towns, was spend 10 minutes priming your furnace because your an idiot. Half the time I wouldn’t even bother, I’d say I couldn’t get it, send out a tech.

The end is near! This will be the last weekend I deliver wood. Will be sold out !! Very excited. Between my regular job and firewood I’ve been working 7 days a week since late august.

The logs have been rolling in nonstop and since it’s not even thanksgiving or hunting season yet, I will start right away and probably take off some time in December

X how many splits per cord?
Hmm...there was a thread here somewhere a few years back where that was discussed...no matter...that's a lot of splits!
EDIT: At 650 splits per cord, that's 144,950 splits made/handled! :faint:
