I lucked out as my MIL had two canes and I bought one that stays where I put it, it no fall over,I also bought a tall walking stick.
I had a threepeat this morning too...but I just left all 3 since with the subject matter it was just funnier that way...especially since there was comments on the 3peat before I realized that it even happened...
Busy is an understatement. I've worked more OT this year than the 7 prior years combined. If this continues through the winter my NG provider is going to like me again. I've barely done anything wood related this year. I still try and check in everyday tho.
I check in from time to time here, especially in the fall when I’m cutting wood. I work in healthcare and after the initial covid scare, we are now swamped. Haven’t been able to cut either due to fire danger and most the state on fire. Now I have a 14 day quarantine due to wife testing positive, so plenty of time to surf youtube and FHC.
Im on day 2.5 had a buddy do a beer run and I have a small bicycle track in my backyard. Gives me some time to clean up the garage too I guess. Everyone is feeling fine.
Make sure you get the right cane tips and make sure they are not worn. Most are ok, but some are better for slippery conditions. I just hate falling. I have a hell of a time getting up and I usually get bumps, bruises and scrapes. I have started rehab. Lets see how that goes.
Had a nice morning in the woods, but no good shots available. Finished swapping brake pads on the truck, topped off PS fluid on car, and decided it needed brake pads too (was just beginning to squeal every once in a while). Going to light up the fire pit and cook some yard bird later.....might take a nap in between....woke up at 3AM and didn't get back to sleep much if any.
It was a busy work week here. I did clean up the small branches of the spruce that fell the other day. I spent the morning in the attic finishing framing for the bedroom up there. Almost ready for rough inspection. We took a road trip to a architectural salvage place looking for a piece of corrugated roof tin for a heat shield for the wall behind the stove. I found a 5' x 21" piece in ok shape. They wanted $65 for that. It was half buried in leaves behind a pallet of sawn wood. They aren't scared of asking stupid prices. We left and I really don't care to visit them anytime soon. If anyone in northeast Ma or southeast NH has older corrugated roofing, give me a shout. I'll get on the marketplace and look. Most likely yard work tomorrow and family visits since the weather is good.
wow is the weather beautiful! It would have been nicer if I spent the morning on the boat, not winterizing it Changed the oil in the car too. Date night with the wife tonight.
