I'd always thought if I had a blower on back, I'd have to have big truck type mirrors on both sides... so I wouldn't have to crank around to see what I was about to chew up and spit out... ... can't tell if you've got mirrors on there L.
That's funny, mine came with two blowers, but the second one does not have any brackets for mounting. Not sure what to do with it.
You can find old garden tractors with front blowers pretty reasonably. A nice setup for less than the price of a new 3 point blower, never mind a front mount blower. I’m not talking today’s junk like in Home Depot. I’m talking Case/Ingersolls, Simplicity/Allis’s Chalmer, Bolens, Wheelhorse, Cub Cadet, Gravely, Powerking, Ariens, Massey Ferguson, etc. Even the old Sears gts are incredibly rugged. My 1971 SS14 will be 50 this coming year, only has one cylinder, is 2wd, and will blow snow like you read about. The Gravelys are well known in the snow blowing world as being able to deposit your snow onto your neighbors roof
Heck no mirrors I sit in seat at a 45* angle throw arm around Rops and go! At most neck turned to shoulder
Yeah I got 2 of those blowers... blew motors pushing snow up hill ... most of those are less than 50”
True. Most gt blowers are 36"-42". Larger gt's often go to 48" like my Case/Ingersoll snow caster, which I actually added OEM side extensions to which brings it out to 52". The largest OEM gt blower I'm aware of is the Simplicity/Allis Chalmers Powermax blower. I'm not counting the newer Deere 700's, Simplicity legacy's, or Kubota BX type tractors because those were advertised as sub compacts, not garden tractors. Here is a Allis version of the Powermax with the 52" blower. I want to find one for my 9020,
sirbuildalot i got a 48” cub cadet and 44” toro cub was 25 hp, both were tack hammers compared to meteor jack hammer
If I were to ever get a snow blower for the Kioti, I think I'd get a Woodmaxx 3 point blower. A 6 footer runs about $2,500. I'd plow most storms with the 8' QA front blade. Really big storms or edge cleanups, I'd use the Woodmaxx. The Canadian blowers are nice, but $$$
Ive got a loader mounted plow on my Deere 1025R I'm looking to add a 3pt snowblower, was at the Deere dealer looking the other day $2500 for a 48", $2900 for 54"...woodmaxx you say, I'll have to check them out.
8 years is a long time, hell 8 months ago a 8’ 2x4 was about $2.50, now they’re three times that. Price out a meteor now, I think you’ll be surprised
Same here. I don’t maintain that position for long periods, but it’s fine for the 3-4 driveways I do. I’m turning my head back and forth to keep an eye on the front too so that helps. My neck and lower spine are bad I can’t hold any position long.
Same model and looks hardly used. Be surprised if I can ever wear out the one that's on it. Never know I guess.
