35* out 69* in...the wind seems to have finally stopped. It actually warmed up a few degrees overnight. Last evening around 6ish it was 31* with howling winds Red maple going in to the nc30 this morning
It’s lightly snowing here. Very windy yesterday and last night. Temps about 32, still got that sweet, sweet Cherry in the firebox doing its thang
Burrrrr. It did not even get down to freezing overnight here and we're expecting 50's today then about a week of 60's. Amazing for sure. Last year early in November we were way below normal and had snow too.
35, feels like 30. 72 in the house, a little ash in the stove just to keep it ticking over. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
35 and 75, burning hemlock and beech. Still quite windy and there’s a thin white blanket on the ground. Not warming up much on this voting day but up to 60 in a couple days. Vote if you haven’t!
Yup, first snow. Only a couple of inches, but pretty. Time to change to snow tires before Thanksgiving ? Who uses 4 snow tires in winter ? Forecasts say "in the 60's" this week. P.S. 20 Y.O. Honda Foreman 500 has been abused by the owner with no complaints. She says "no" to a real tractor. Save the $$$ for travel.
The coldest on this mornings commute was -18*F. Have some bettle kill spruce in the stove. 70*F inside. I use directional studded snow tires.
It’s 66F here at 20 to midnight, I am sitting out in my wood lot by a fire. I Am burning all the eucalyptus Sticks and small branches that come down in the storms this year.
We can wait too. Got a great deal on last year's Bridgestone Blizzaks from TireRack mounted, balanced and shipped. A "new improved" Blizzak 90 is now out. The '05 Outback will wait for snows until end of hunting ( 30 Nov ). We're a mile on dirt to paved and plowed.
Hey Backwoods Savage !! It's supposed to be into the 60's this week! C'mon back up to the U.P. and enjoy our summer weather!!
11:00 am. 47* outside, grey and raining like all get out. 67* in the cool corner of the farthest bedroom. Burning Doug Fir. Stove room is toasty and warm and the coffee tastes great!
Oak maple and ash in the reactor. 32f got some snow here in norther conn. The 4 inches we got on Friday melted, we got two inch last night. It will all be gone by Friday.
I like that pic metalcuttr! No TV in sight, just spin the chairs toward the wood stove and you've got all of the entertainment you need
