This may be something simple but wanted to know if both side panels need to be removed in order to access the igniter and replace it?
Take off the right side after removing the damper rod. Then remove the convection blower and then remove the bolt that holds the igniter tube on the back of the firewall and unclip the igniter wires. Easy Peasy! Also clean the dust out of the convection blower while you are in there!!! See pics
Thanks. I had finished the task and just removed the right side panel, I realize that removing the blower would've been better but didn't remove the blower. The wire connectors were a bit smaller than the original igniter, so I had to pry open them a bit to insert the other leads from stove. All working good, thanks.
Looking at your first pic, that must be an older stove? Mine doesn't have that damper rod....I guess it is done through the digital control panel buttons?
I realize that emails from the site keep going to Gmail spam folder, that’s why I never saw your previous reply. I have marked the emails as not spam but Gmail keeps sending to spam folder....grrr
