Yesterday my son and I worked on the pile until we got to the smaller stuff. I took the old sawbuck and took it apart. Building a new one that is 36” long from the old one. I haven’t been sleeping very good over the past couple of months. We were up early yesterday morning to go to the dump and pickup a ton of the Envi-blocks. By 4pm I crashed for an hour and a half. Woke up and the wife made a wonderful chicken noodle soup in the Insta Pot. Back at the pile again today, plus putting up curtains and replacing headlights in my daughters car. Sorry no pics. NO BUCKING or SPLITTING yesterday. I ended up spending way too much time on the sawbuck. Once done with that, I brought it inside the garage to dry out. My youngest daughter and I took the partial load of splits outback and added to the pile. It started to rain right after we finished up with the splits. We ran an errand for cat food and the replacement headlights for my daughter, and I put up the curtain rods for my oldest daughter. By that time it was dinner time. Headlights will have to be today as it was still raining. The good news is that I have nothing planned this coming weekend, and I should be able to finish up enough of the pile to make way for the woodshed. At that point, I'll have to reload all of the splits in the backyard and bring them down to put them in the woodshed. Thankfully going forward I'll only do this type of handing during my annual re-stook of the woodshed. After those splits are in there, I can finish up the pile by placing the splits right into the woodshed until it's full. Once full, I'll need to set my L shaped pallets in the backyard for the splits. I was going to do Haulhauzens, but have decided to just make L shaped pallets with 2 pallets. Jason from RI
