Went to town, got some possibles from the food store, and dropped off my mail in ballot at courthouse.Along with many others.Seems many do not trust the post office.I guess enough people complained,so all polling places will be open on voting day,to drop off ballots.Seems people also use voting day to hang out and visit with people,I know I have. But i am on standby to be an election judge, that day,so I dropped mine off today.

First snow of the season is falling now. Started around 7:00am and we already have a coating on the ground.

i was a little cold and wet this morning unloading a flatbed of EzBlaze in a snowstorm! It came on a Conestoga unit I really like those! good thing i had a spare pair of jeans in the truck leftover from switching from jeans to shorts.... seems like only a couple of weeks ago

For you guys that haven't started your stoves, I'm on bag 7 for the month - nice and toasty in the house! Had a half dozen fires in the woodstove in the shop as well.

Happy birthday Rich! (a day late). We got about 3 inches. Unusual this close to the ocean. I show 28 degrees here now. My son dropped off a bag of NEWP. I've burned them before and they were pretty good. My Home Depot has Stove Chow. Tried them in my Baby and didn't like them. Too much ash. I have to run to HD on Sunday so I'll grab a bag.

We ended up with about an inch. Lots of activity on the bird feeders we have today. Guess it's their version of grab bread, eggs & milk for the storm, they saw snow and panicked.

I've decided I want to replace my entertainment center some time in the near future (read: in the next year or whenever I get around to it). I got the entertainment center at the dump's swap shop when I moved in here 7 years ago, and it was very old and pretty beat up then. I want to replace the big behemouth with 2 smaller audio/media cabinets.

I did a little bit of research, and it came down to two kits, a Dynex from Best B*y and another off Amaz*n. I choose the Dynex for $49 (plus I had a $5 reward from replacing my router last month). Hey, and I got free shipping - ordered in on Monday and it was at my door on Wednesday.

The mount kit is very sturdy and almost 15 pounds. I followed the directions (shocker, I don't do that nearly as often as I should), used the template to drill the holes in studs and then got ready to install it. I always have a variety of boxes and scrap pieces of wood to help me mount things to the wall, so it was just a matter of finding the correct mixture.

This combo, using cutoffs from the stair backers that I used for resurfacing my stairs during the summer, placed the mount at the perfect height so all I had to do was screw in the bolts.

The nerve wracking part of course was lifting the TV up there. I don't know if the newer units are lighter, but I can tell you 2010 flat screens were heavy. Thank goodness it is only a 46" wide - I could just get my hands to grip either side. I did use a combo of a different box and cut offs from stair steps to hold the TV until I could climb on top of the entertainment center to lift it the last 2".

Chilly here and residual white chit that bear sent down. So indoor "do lists" are all I'll get done today! :coldone: :beerbbq:

One good thing is the 4 letter word covered up the other 4 letter word.

We didn't get any, sounds like some bear had a chat with that storm.
