Been on generator power about 13 hours now. At least I got some white oak out of it. A treetop across the driveway and a large limb on some of my stacks. Not sure how those stacks kept intact as much as they did with that huge limb falling from about 50 feet. One end is really just being held up by two stacks. The other end is in the woods and took out a few smaller trees. Will be interesting to cut. Probably knock it down first. I usually park my splitter right between those two stacks but I had it in the garage for an oil change last night.

That was certainly a great timing on that oil change

The good part is you now have more wood and no need of hauling it far.

Remnants went South of us but still some decent rain. Couldnt have fallen in a more convenient location. Great that your splitter wasnt there.
We got hit by Isaias back in Early August so lots of wood to be had. Tornado hit three weeks later and even more wood. Most of my recent black locust was a result of both storms.
Mother nature gives, FHC takes away!

Lucky that your splitter was tucked away safe and sound.

I got the first front stack cleared and reassembled Saturday. The bulk of the remaining work is behind the second row in the woods. There is a pretty decent slope down to the end of the limb but I can access it at the bottom if I make a spur off my trail there. Maybe next weekend.
