Thought popped into my head earlier, using this for bar and chain oil, whatch yall think. Its cool but also pouring from the gallon is pretty easy though.

Well,,,,chain and bar should be nice and clean. Maybe some bubbles to contend with line of sight vision. It’s sticky and has a lubricious quality to it.

Actually great idea. I’ll be trying it.

Looks like a great idea. For a second i thought you wanted to use Tide as bar lubricant!
It can be a PITA and messy to pour oil in the saw when the gallon is full or nearly full.

I rarely bring the whole gallon container of bar oil with me on a cutting excursion. I have a one liter bottle i carry in the toolbox and a 1.5 liter for fuel mix. Its rare for me to burn through two or more tank fulls of gas in an outing.

I've heard of guys running vegetable oil in a pinch, but not laundry detergent LOL. Can't really envision it having much lubrication capability especially when it gets warm. Probably leave you looking like a smurf with blue streaks everywhere.

    I saved 2 of these.

One has bar oil. The other fuel mix. Both marked accordingly.

I take them with me when I go cutting. Easier to refill with smaller containers.

I wonder if you could find a cap from a soap refill bottle, shampoo bottle, etc that would screw onto an oil jug? Then you could turn it into a squeeze bottle. Stop squeezing, it stops coming out.

Regular oil jugs aren't really not a problem for me, except when filling the MS250 which has tiny reservoirs and tiny caps. I hate those tiny flippy caps. Don't mix well with big hands, or thick fingers.

I refill this and carry it with me. I HATE it when I overfill.

Great idea, thanks! I am going to try it in the garage. I like to use old dish soap or syrup bottles to take out in the field. They don’t leak and easy to use, no spilling filling the saw.

I've used a 1 gal. Gas can before. Cut a jug of oil with a unguarded bar and chain riding in the back of the truck. Worked so good I still use it.

I use the same thing for bar oil. I found a clear one so I can see thru it. The pointed tip really allows you to see down into the tank and not spill.

I’ve thought about doing that. At work we’ve used the really big ones for antifreeze
