Seems like everyone out there likes pics, so here is what I got.... 1. We gas up the Huskis 266XP (retired but 36 inch bar for special occasions) 357XP (work horse) 365XP (work horse) 136 (limbs) 2. We grab some buddies and hit a site 3. Load it up and haul 18 foot trailer Muck truck if we can't get close to pile 4. If no time to split and stack right away, pile it up 5. Split and stack 33 ton White Outdoor with some modifications Timberwolf TW-5 (4 way wedge, log lift and sorting table that is best back saver I own) 6. Put in furnace Central Boiler Classic (just replaced Mahoning that gave up the ghost) 7. Wait for winter to heat this place Hot water travels 75 yards in conduit to power radiant floor heat and domestic coil (10/1 - 4/15) We sell 6-7 cords a year to go towards gear and upgrades as sons are leaving home. This was last year of selling I think, but also have the gear we need. Would rather have the sons still home. Happy cutting all!
Nice home, nice shed, nice saws, nice kids, nice muck truck, nice boiler (my buddy down the street has the same unit)!! Nice write up! Sure to get a bunch of likes with this thread! Keep the pics coming!
Great pictures Nice set up Love the fully +, loaded trailer ! " don't mind the mule, load the wagon "
This sept I'll have College Senior College Sophomore College Freshman High School Junior Youngest worried about firewood work distribution now!
Thanks, researched a long time and decided against gasification in the end. The Mahoning was not EP2, and had a few minor leaks. But since you cant buy them in PA anymore sold it to a guy who didn't mind welding for 1800. Hope I made a good choice. Won't fire up until Oct for first time. Burned Mahoning for ten straight years, year round, and only burned maybe 150 gallons of heating oil from backup, so figure it was a good deal, we parted ways still friends. If CB unit does burn 30-50% less wood it might be perfect timing for next phase on my firewood career!
Oh boy. Good thing you are saving money by heating with wood. Keeps you in shape and allows you to still be able to feed that army.
