Great guy! Works as a trainer in the arborist field. He just got back from California last week after training guys who are doing takedowns during the massive wildfires out there. Had some pretty crazy stories. He has a side business milling wood and making furniture. He was heading to his work area and asked if we still wanted slab wood for kindling. “Sure!” He swung by later this morning with this load of wood. Perfect! He said he has more and I told him he’s more than welcome to drop it off. I’ll be happy to exchange for beer. This is mostly hemlock that’s been cut 2-3 years ago. I split some today and it’s so dry! My wife was happy to stack it. My neighbor didn’t want anything in return, but I’ll be sure to get him some beer. It’s definitely work in his part and I want to be a good neighbor in return. And to add to the awesomeness, my other neighbor swung by; guy who gave us the wood from logging. He pulled out a birch log and asked if I wanted it.
