Did you ever get that sewing room taken care off? I remember posts by you saying "if you don't here from me again, send campinspecter in to rescue me" or something along that line!

We are in the process of buying an up north cabin. Said cabin will need a snow blower. So an executive decision was made. Our 11 year old MTD (which is in good condition) will go to cabin. Dealer just dropped this off in my driveway here.
    Let it snow.

Do you think my wife will notice something new and orange in the garage when she gets home tonight?
Or should I hide it in the shed for a couple weeks?
Maybe I should make a poll,,,,,,

Nice machine...hide it in the shed long enough for it to get a little dusty...then when you get it out and she says "where did that come from?!" you can say "this? oh we've had this for a while now..."

Is that the one with steering assist ?
I've been looking at new snow blowers and reviews on the steering assist are both good and bad.
Supposed to be a real nice blower if the steering issues don't affect your use.

We got the entry model ariens a couple seasons back and are completely satisfied with it.

Now then, if your wife doesn't notice anything "new and orange" in the driveway, your next stop should be the local Kubota dealership!

You need to drive more. Constant contact with pavement will remove all that rust!

And....you might as well change the spelling; its "tire"; while you're at it! :rofl: :rofl:

    You're welcome!

Yes, sorta like an open dif. My buddy has the same model he let me take it for a test blow. His wife hates the way his steers but I was fine with it.

What brand are those? I ordered a pair of boots off of Amazon that are supposed to arrive tomorrow. The ones I got are more of a hiking/ tactical boot vs a hunting boot. They are waterproof but not really insulated. Mine were very inexpensive but had a ton of great reviews. I hope they are as good as the reviews say.

I think it really has to do with how good your circulation is. Also, if your are going to be walking around, or sitting in one spot. I've got my lacrosse Iceman Sorel type boots for sitting in very cold weather. They suck to walk in. My hunting style rocky boots are great for walking, and have like 500g of insulation. Those are a great compromise, but I have good circulation. I've also got pack style but for snowmobiling use. Those are again another set of tradeoffs. I'm going that my new boots are essentially like a really sturdy waterproof pair of tennis shoes that have better toe protection.

Nice choice. Ariens makes great snowblowers.

    No, not steel toes.

They are called "huntrite" for sale on amazon, sportsmans guide and other places.

Backwoods Savage One thing about these boots is that they come with different levels of insulation. 400g, 800g and 1200g. Another thing I noticed about them right away, is that the laces seem to reach down into the toe area a bit farther than a "traditional" boot. This makes it very easy to get on and off! Looks kinda funny seeing the laces down an extra eye though.

There is more to it than circulation. Every time I've been checked I'm assured I have excellent circulation. Yet I fight cold feet even in the summertime.
