Some guy posted on my department Facebook page “American Police are animals. You are not welcome in Europe.

so being full of vinegar, I responded

“Americans have come to Europe a few times to rid it of true animals, so generations later, an idiot like you could freely post a comment in English, rather than German or Russian”.

then I went to bed very proud of myself. Snicker.

Seems the “younger liberal generation “ so to say in Europe never learned anything about history. We had to kick England’s azz once to start it all. What do the police do there? Blow a whistle and yell stop it’s the Bobby and I don’t have a firearm?

Its been happening here for quite a while now too...the "history" books are half fiction...part of the reason that these youngsters hate the freedoms we have...they have been lied to about how, and why they came to be.

Yes my daughter graduated high school a couple years ago. She got her biggest history lesson in 4 years of JROTC. She also is very interested in history, we are fortunate. Most kids can’t tell you what WW1 was, when, or why. Never heard of any of Korea, Vietnam, Desert Storm, Spanish American, War of 1812, French Indian wars. None of it.

I agree with all the response that have been given. But I think the biggest problem here is how the media is portraying our public service members. They have people in other countries thinking that our police men and women are out in the streets hunting people who are different from them down and that is simply not the case. I pray for our police men and women and the other public service people as well. We support all the people who are doing a thankless job.
