Do you know what it is?
Looks like some kind of DIY modded bar made for a specific purpose to me...:sherlock:

Would they have used that to cut holes in roofs or walls?

Bad pic but appears to be a shindy rescue saw. The bar has a a lot for a depth limiter to be used for opening roofs etc in a fire.

The one I have handled for my local department was 70+ cc, had an aftermarket af setup for running in smoky conditions, and a carbide .404 chain.

That’s a solo 690 or 667. Good saws. Parts are a little scarce.

If it’s a 690, which I it looks like, they are torque monsters. Pulls like a freight train all day long. Is pick it up and resell it. Or where did you find it? Do you a link to the original ad?

I live in a new house with a fireplace and a kuuma vapor fire 100. My horde is at 6ish cords with another 3 in log form needing to get processed.

6 Cords should be about 1.5 winters worth I would guess? Only 1.5 more to go...;)

New to you, or brand new, as in you built it? You buy the VF, or it was there already? Any pics of your setup?
Oh, and welcome to the club if I haven't already said it! :handshake:
The reason I said only 1.5 more to go, was that most FHC'rs are big believers in Backwoods Savages 3 year plan.
