At this point it doesn’t take much to work up a good lather but I still enjoy making wood. The Shindaiwa 577 didn’t miss a beat cutting up this little Alder that came down. Looking at the stump, I’m glad it came completely off and partway down the hill to the trail. There were a couple other chunks up above that I got dragged down to the trail and buzzed up as well. A couple pieces had broke off on the downhill side of the trail. It’s a lot steeper than it looks and they may just stay there until they rot unless I get really desperate for firewood. Looks like some big trees back there... I wood spend a lot of time in those woods just long around at nature...
Pics look like you got alot more alder and at least 1 good sized cedar on your land, I'm super happy that the fires did not destroy your woods.
