Yesterday I raked leaves, mowed leaves (while mowing the grass), leaf blowed and did more leaf mowing. Fortunately I don't have to do the neighbor's yard too as he only gets leaves in the back yard - and what I can't see from my house, I don't take care of unless it is in the way of my regular mowing of his yard.

New double-sided compost bin. It was supposed to arrive today (Sunday), but came a day early  so I put it together and set it in place. Actually pretty proud of myself as there were just 3 pictures for instructions (and they told me to scan a 3-D barcode to download directions to my phone. I would not have been able to see the directions on my phone and decided to try to puzzle it out on my own. Looking at it put together, I hear that "how hard can it be?" from the peanut gallery. Well, each barrel alone had 14 parts (not including the door). I not only got it together, but the only parts left were in the bag labeled "extra parts" :). I'll transfer some material from my big barrel compost bin that does not get rolled because it is too heavy, and is in a shaded corner of the yard, so composting is really, really slow - and is really, really full.

At the last 2 houses in NY (especially the big house with all the Oak trees), and the NC house now, I finally gave up raking, bagging, blowing, etc leaves. Bought a nice set of the Oregon Products Gator G3 mulching blades for the lawn tractor. Along with the mulch plate, it basically makes the leaves turn into little flakes that almost disappear into the grass and break down over the winter. Easy peasey. The guy I race with got a set for his John Deere, and loves them. Both of our backs love them too.

My yard gets most of my neighbors' leaves..
    I have one tree.
More leaves than anyone remotely near me, but the fences
make a great catch for the others.. on my side, of course...
    Waiting for Bogie to move...

I'm in the same boat. Can't blow them back as he has a fence between us. Might just dump them over it this year. He's snowbirding it now that he's retired!!

Finally cleaned the stoves from the spring. Also grabbed some GS from the depot to test out. Got a feeling the stoves will be on soon.

Yeah, I don't do much raking, just away from the chain link fence, out from under the ramp to the back door, and away from rock walls. Then everything is mowed over and mulched at the same time. And at the end of the season, I will need to rake out the leaves that get caught in the drainage ditch.

Naps should be considered doing something too. So should eating, Deciding what to eat is tough on an old cuss like me. Start making something and seems I forget and end up making something else.

Or just crab the cookie jar!! :D

Naps are in my daily schedule since I tested positive last week for Covid 19. Let my guard down. My own fault. I’ve been so vigilant about what I do. Pay the Piper. The upside is my P61A fired right up the first time I needed a little warmth....
