I’ll have too, my last boat was a 16’ Swamp People special. I got an awesome deal on this, had to replace carpet and mount some little stuff but it came with the Merc 4 stroke 20 hp and a Minn Kota 70 lb foot control for $2500, I put another $400 in it, I’m happy.

One of the last evening boat rides a few nights ago. Wife and daughter thought it was a good night for a swim. Judging by the sounds they made when they jumped it, i made the right decision to not join them.

I drove by masabeic(sp?) I was surprised to see a few boats that looks like they will be sitting in mud for the winter. Crazy year lots of ramps closed.

Its crazy. My pond is down about 18". I cant even get into my slip all the way anymore. I need to line up and hit the throttle hard while trimming the motor up, then I slide into the sand and stop about halfway into my slip. My stern line goes from my boat to my dockmates cleat, goes around his, then across the dock to my cleat because the stern is 3' beyond my dock.

We took one last ride for the season, then I pulled the boat and dock out. Off to the dealer for a warranty repair, then it goes away for the winter.

this is the second year. So far so good. No issues other than a problem with the tilt motor creeping down overnight.

That’s not normal? We usually use a block of wood to keep it from creeping...

All of the motors I have had were used some abused when I got them. I just figured that’s what they did. Lol

Mine never moves thinking about it.
I usually store it down and trailer it with a transom saver bar.

Nope, Mine sits up out of the water in the warm weather and doesnt budge, but late August when it starts getting colder, it will creep down.
