Otto Von Bismarck said it best:
Laws are like sausages, it is better not to see them being made.
I'm sure if the general population knew EVERYTHING that went on behind the scenes, the motivation behind every decision, every back room deal, the inside trading, etc. there would be a serious restructuring of the agencies that are supposed to be serving our country rather than themselves.

You remind me of a old woman who said she's getting rid of cable. She said all you do is pay for commercials and that's no lie. They commercial you to death.

It's been said that Flouride was once used as a rat poison.Arsenic is fed to hogs to fatten them up but will kill us.Go figure.

sodium fluoride and arsenic in rat poison , arsenic in poultry feed as well as hog food although I think the practice has been discontinued.
Like so many things - a little can be beneficial but there's lines to cross between beneficial and detrimental. An apple a day is usually good for your health, 10 probably isn't. Even black licorice can kill ya. Rare case of black licorice poisoning kills man in Massachusetts

They still use arsenic to feed hogs in Tennessee.

Yep California passed what was called Proposition 65. If anything even "might cause cancer it must be labeled with a prop 65 stickers and warnings. In California even the entrances to some buildings will have warnings signs saying the building materials that are in the building might cause cancer

Do you know the species that leaf came from? image.jpg I have a similar looking tree that popped up at the edge of my yard beside the town road. I haven’t seen similar trees around the property.

Alright, after this I *promise* I'm done hijacking this thread. It's hard for Sassafras to come up without the conversation somehow turning to psychoactive substances, and once you're there then Alice In Wonderland is only a hop, skip and a jump away.
