All these trees came down in the June wind event, my first job will be to make a trail for the Rhino so I can get to the downed trees.

We have some Cherry and what I think is Sugar Maple, I have a feeling I'll hate this ridge after I'm done with all the cutting.

This should fill up any open stacking areas we have left come spring time, maybe before.

Nice looking property you got there, some think I got it made cause I get logs dumped in my driveway for free.
As they say the grass is always greener, enjoy every hour on that ridge :)

Thanks cmag, free is good,:D The nice thing about that ridge is I can roll everything down either side so I won't have to split on it.

Just don't let it roll on you. I had some come at me. I stepped back to get out of the way. I stepped on a round and over I went. I did't get hit by the rolling logs but I did really bust my butt. I could sit normally for three months while my tailbone healed.

You'll be fine, nice looking pile. The Rhino will really help you out.

Well Seasoned, I'll be taking a few more pictures from different angles just so I get a different look, it should be okay.

PB & FF, it does look good but most of the cherry on our lot has that rot going up the middle, I think the big cherry up top was the only one I should've milled up.

SM, I'll make sure the area is clean along with being extra careful. All I'll say is a big ole basswood almost put me on my azz. I always remember that when cutting on a hill.

This is down from that area, this will be the first time cutting in that area. Once I'm done it should give us another trail for the Rhino so we can get up in the area that has some nice sugar maples.

I still have the maple up top that I will be hauling and stacking before I start cutting again, still some nice rounds up top that need splitting too.

Good ole mother nature, just when you think you bucked up all the downed wood she knocks another two or three years down.

Today I noticed a big beech that came down in one of the storms, I'm hoping I can get some nice rounds out of that.

I dropped 27 pounds which helped out, but even if I did have the 27 pounds back on it still needs taking care of.

Like Sav said, you don't have to get it all done in one day, once you're ahead on your wood you can work at your own pace.

I know i know. It started when i was down a few months (arm) I usually lose weight over the warm months and into fall, and gain a bit during the winter (insulation purposes)
