No more fires here at least until next week. Is this Indian summer we are having? Sure seems like it.

    80 predicted for today; yuck.

Holy mackerel! I live in South Dakota, it's currently 65 outside and its midnight. I thought for sure that I would be coldest.

Also, just FYI at least for my area. The farmer's almanac has predicted a La Nina year for my area, meaning extra cold and extra snow.

Good thing I've got about 2 cords of wood next to the wood stove already.

No Virginia ( errrr....Dennis ), there will be no "Indian Summer" until well after the first hard frosts. That's at least how we define it.
I just hope that this is not one of those offensive names like the Washington "FOOTBALL TEAM". :hair:
    What's next ? :faint:

Nothing yet. We have been close though. Has a few nights into the upper 40s. Inside temps have gotten down to the 60s. This is looking like the earliest I will have needed a fire since installing the stove.

Have had a couple of light frosts, bird bath frozen in the am... but back in shorts for the past few days. 10 for the weather score. Drought is turning the leaves early.

That is one mighty fine buck!! You folks have a really long deer season down there and if my memory is right you are also allowed to kill several deer. But I don't know what the license cost.

We have that same Weber Q/folding stand.

Was 80ºF here the last few days - looks like 68-72 for the next 10 days out with a little bit of rain in the forecast. The last rain was on around the 4th of the month and we got about 1/20 of an inch. Ground is still dry as a bone and hard as a rock in some places. One advantage to this drought is almost no mosquitoes. Cans of DEET have dust on them.
