    Actually, I mis-spoke/typed.
I can still find 'em, if I don't mind paying 80 bucks for a dozen eggs. Ok, so that's a slight exaggeration, but there's a point in there somewhere.
I thought you probably used a ladle. Good info. Now, all I need is to confiscate one a those from the ladle drawer in the kitchen. Switching to stealth mode.

All women know when ANY utensil has been removed from the house. She may not say anything but it will be used against you at a later date in an argument when she runs out of good points...

Well, since I do most of the cooking (when I actually decide to) she might not notice.
Might being the operative word. :dancer:

I think aldis sells eggs in cardboard.... 50 cents a dozen right now. And ladles can be at the dollar store.... or 2nd hand stores.

Fire Flake made 4 dozen cupcake style starters a month ago- all on her own, only sought a few tips and tricks from the Master Starter maker... :D

She did great, and is prepping some more right now! :salute:

29° this morning and i wasn't running out to the rock and roll tour bus in my skivvies to grab fire starters.

Had to set up production for a run.

Got 2 more cupcake pans (25 cents each) at yard sales recently. I coulda had one more pan, but no way was i paying 50 cents! :faint:

4 (12 cup) pans work great.

Yes, i lit a fire with the torch this morning. Then my kindling burned out. So i went to the other side of the basement and found a piece of a paper towel and smeared a little (warming) wax out of the crock pot, dipped it in wood shavings from the lathe and poof...fire was rolling.
Torch went back into the flue to stop the down draft.
4 dozen starters cooling now. Maybe I'll make a couple more runs while the wax is hot.

Note to self: Don't eat Tim's "Chocolate-Coconut" muffins at the next GTG...

So far this year my fire starters have been the oil soaked "diapers" (paper towels) that I had under my Stihl's when they were sitting in the truck leaking bar oil...:hair:
