Stopped yesterday as they were closed and i could back up to the pallets. Took one huge 4x8' one all oak with full rough sawn 1x6 planks. Really put my hernia to the test. Heaviest pallet ive ever lifted....well uh, loaded as i couldnt lift it. If you look you can see it n the center. Plastic wrapped ones were off limits. These were 4x8" and hardwood. I may grab these in the future as they are full corders. Pulled some 4x4's out of this mess. 12' and two 8' Couple others i salvaged 16' of 1x8 and 24' of 1x6 after a quick dismantling. Had a load of splits so took only a few. Good future source for them though.
Great score Brad! Those oak pallets are wonderful. They hold a lot of weight without bowing or cracking. Last a good long time too.
Thanks. If i had a more permanent long term area id build a pallet shed or two. Problem is most of the pallets i get are repaired or beat up.

The two large pallets I just made into firewood boxes have 2” thick Oak runners. Definitely notice the difference. My father is just finishing up an entire enclosed wood shed made of pallets.
The rails are full 2x4 rough sawn oak. Id love to do something like that although getting uniform quality pallets is tough, unless i dismantle them.
