They ripen late August to Sept. Might be overripe by now. Still, try one.

I think we are up to 17 or 18 perennial fruit plants/trees. All the basics plus some weird ones (like Paw - Paws)

The chickens love our elder berries -- two bushes provide all we need and then some.

NWW, you not only talk the talk, you walk the walk! A lot of work, I'm sure, but very rewarding.

Chickens and goats soon. Apple trees and 4000 square foot garden. We have a pantry 20 foot long 2 foot wide done in shelves. 3 freezers and getting a bigger one Tuesday A.M. I will start deer hunting this coming weekend. Right now I don't have room for a deer. All in I could go a year or better with out going to the store again.

Ate a paw paw yesterday. Kinda different...cross between a melon and a banana.

Made 11 pints of hot sauce and canned this weekend too.

Ha! That's my buddy, we usually get some 'staches going for shearing. The sheep seem to respect our authority a bit more that way. We were, and still are, learning to shear. Mostly by watching youtube and going down to the barn and struggling through it. I love that pic, the dang cord is tangled around everything (look at the sheep's horn) and he's probably more frustrated than the sheep right then. It still cracks me up every time I look at it.
