Going back and forth at this time. Debating on seeing it they will let me wait until spring, but then there is the problem with procrastinating, again. We do have natural gas so not a major problem to go without the stove. Don't care to move the beast around anymore than needed.
68F at the moment and dropping into the low 60s later tonight. I’m currently enjoying a fire in the outdoor pit that will surely make someone cry. Burning some small hickory branches with a few pieces of less than desirable black locust on top. *edit/update* I’m going buffet style tonight. It’s become a game of how many species can be burned simultaneously. At the moment I have locust, beech, Sassafras, Ash, quaking aspen, mimosa, tulip poplar, hickory, sugar maple, oak with some rose of Sharon thrown in for good measure. It’s pretty toasty from my chair
It’s 70 degrees here right now. We are supposed to get 5-8 inches of snow on Tuesday!! Of course I’m on duty Tuesday. The first snow of the season always means wreck, after wreck, after wreck on the highway.
54F here this morning. It will be a while yet before I start burning, probably another month. But this cooler weather has me thinking of fires again! We have had several bonfires over the last few weeks. Nothing better.
55ºF at 6AM 64ºF outside right now, 69ºF inside. On the way to (forecast) 77ºF. Supposed to be another wonderfully sunny blue-sky day.
I plan on moving some wood to the porch this week or if it does not get done, then next week for sure.
52 this morning! AC off and windows open last night. House was a cool 65 this morning - love it! Fire is still a month or so away though.
This is like heaven! 75f for the high, 71f now and a low of 53f tonight. High tomorrow 47f plus we should get RAIN, maybe 2.5". House is open AC is off.
I don’t think we got to 60 today, but I wasn’t really watching. It’ll get warmer again yet, but I wish my stove were connected Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
We got our scrape the windshield frost this morning. 91 days from the last one Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
You beat me to it! Of course it is colder and snowier in your neighborhood I am at 37 with light snow showers. I am working from home today so I get to sit by the fire.
We had -4c/25f this morning with a killing frost. The white sure looked pretty. We had a frost about 6-8 weeks ago which was rare but not unheard of. It definitely feels like fall out there but hot weather will return for another stretch. Trees are starting to turn and snow has been on the mountains the last few days. I turned the furnace on for a bit this morning but still have no urge to start a fire.
