Mid Atlantic Stihl Dealers who participate have the MS 250 down to 299,99 through most of November.

I bought one in 2019 to back up my MS 362 for light work and have been really impressed by it.I run a .325 pitch chain on an 18" bar and saw limbs and other small diameter cuts with it.I have sawed up to 16' to 18" but wouldn't want to do it all day.Not saying it can't,but I have the 362 for that.
They are a much better saw than the price and "homeowner" designation would lead you to believe. My son,who has a 290,and I have both been impressed by it.

I don't own or work for a dealer ,distributor or Stihl.Just a farmer who heats with wood and uses saws around the farm and woodland.

I have a MS250, and agree. For a "homeowner" saw it does pretty well and specs out ok. Decent power/weight.

I've been very happy with mine and it responded well to a muffler mod.

Is this the last go round for the MS250? I've heard they are being discontinued? :( Anyone have the real scoop?

I’d use mine more often if it didn’t have that start assist system on it. Can’t get used to that.
Great little saws. Can’t imagine Stihl would discontinue them. I would think they’re one of the best selling homeowner saws.

I have an 025 that the muffler mod did wonders for. I like cutting with it now.

Maybe it is because the smaller ones have worked out so well and sales are just down on the 250?

Before we bought our 180 I tried out a 250 that my neighbor has. I liked it for sure but in the end I like the 180 even better.

What is the normal price JW IN VA ? I bought a 170 on sale back in April for $170 out the door. I was skeptical as most of my other saws are pro models, and needed a light saw for limbing, smalls etc. I find myself liking it more and more for the light weight. Took some getting used to when im used to running bigger saws.
I sold my 290 a few months back as i wasnt using it much anymore.
