So I do all of the firewood I sell at my moms farm. We get 2 black angus cows each year for personal consumption and have our large pasture enclosed with an electric fence. Maybe about 6-8 years ago I moved one part of the fence back to make more room for my firewood operation. At that point, she said I hope that’s it...so I haven’t moved the fence back again but I have started storing logs and cutting wood inside the fence line. Not sure what she’ll say when she finally sees it! To the left of the fence in the one picture is the pasture and to the right is my normal processing area
Best not to push your luck. You know what they say, I brought you in this world and I can take you out
Do the cows like the smell of fresh cut pin oak? I guess mom doesnt have to put up with any bullchit!
You gotta do what you gotta do. Full delivery mode is right around the corner. Hate to hijack, but... I bought a cord of wood off a farmer about 10 years ago. I was out of town when it was delivered. Came home to the strong smell of manure on a cold November day. Apparently he buys wood in log length and processes for sale. The logs were dropped on the low end of a field. Either they sprayed manure on the wood or it flooded the logs. Either way, it stunk and I wasn't keeping it. Unfortunately I had to bring up legal action as his initial response was to do nothing. I got the story when he came back to pick up the wood and return my money. It's not a dairy farm or farm with lots of animals so I don't think he was immune to the smell. Don't know if he learned his lesson because the farm is now 10 - $850,000 homes.
Guess you gotta start calling those two a herd of cattle jrider. Don't want to be written up on a technicowlity
