Minnesota man rescued after 4 days trapped under fallen tree The man is alive. Story is here: Minnesota man rescued after 4 days trapped under fallen tree A photo of the tree appears to show the man was simply cutting into the tree without any notch and it barber chaired on him.
This is the reason I havent jumped into dropping trees without looking at videos and if need be asking someone for info. Glad the guy is alive but his leg must be in bad shape.
Someone hopefully learned a huge lesson from this. I'll need to read the article, but there were some really bad decisions being made.
I can't like that. Please be careful out there people, your actions affect everyone around you and some of those people need you around.
Here's a link that doesn't ask you to pay $2 to read about one man's poor judgement. Redwood Falls Gazette This guy's a teacher? Oh boy..
Didn't see that but it is possible my advert blocker prevented it. My apologies because I wouldn't have posted any links that are behind a paywall.
Makes you sit back and think. I know because summer is slipping away fast I've been doing more, let's say sketchy things myself. The guys EXTRA lucky as some ex's would take the opportunity to finish him off.
Happened to a farmer in my home town, just a little older than I am. He was taking down a tree when it rolled and pinned him. Cell phone was in his truck so could not reach it. Lucky for him, the saw was still running so he was able to cut the tree and free himself. He then drove himself 20 miles to the nearest hospital. Very lucky to be alive. Some tough cookies out there.
I liked the cut that steers the tree during the fall. Always wondered and thought there must be ways of doing that. I doubt I’ll ever try it though. Out of my league
That video has been popping up on the top of the list of youtube videos in the "you might be interested in" list when watching a youtube video. Probably triggered by firewoodhoarder cookies, LOL.
